Gypsum itself is not harmful but, the chemicals that it is processed with may be. Or it maybe the freshly processed gypsum mat be harmful if inhaled. Like the sand on a beach is not all that harmful but the dust from crushers making sand is very harmful. Because the sand that has been "Made" is very sharp
